Missions Offering – S.O.S. Ministries
Our next quarterly missions offering is Sunday, October 29th. 100% of the special offering will go to Sufficiency of Scripture Ministries in Luwero, Uganda, which trains pastors and believers throughout Uganda. As you know, we have been partners with S.O.S. since 2015, and our church has taken two trips to work with S.O.S. Business Meeting
We will hold a special business meeting after the service on November 12, to approve the proposed budget for 2018. Copies of the proposed budget will be handed out on October 29.
Women’s Ministry – Prayer & Praise Breakfast
Ladies! Please join us at 8:30am on Saturday, October 28th at the church building for a Praise & Prayer Breakfast. Please sign up to bring a dish. To do so, please see the sign-up sheet in the church foyer, or you can contact Carole Rector.
Student Ministry – Fall Retreat
October 27th-29th, the Student Ministry will be retreating to Lake Livingston in Coldspring, TX. Registartion is due October 15th, and is $85 per student. For more details, please contact Ben Campbell.
Church Work Day
Time to get a little fall cleaning done! On Saturday, October 14th, starting at 9am, we will be working on both the inside and outside of the building, so there’s something for everyone to do.
Student Ministry – Lunch at Torchy’s
Sunday, October 8th, after the worship service, the Student Ministry will be meeting at Torchy’s Tacos for fellowship and delicious tacos! Students, please bring money for your meal and have arrangements for pickup from Torchy’s at 1:30.
Membership Matters & Baptism Class
On Sunday, October 1st, after the worship service we will be having a Membership Matters and Baptism Class. If you are interested in becoming a member of The Church at Alden Bridge or in being baptized, please come! Lunch will be provided. Sign up below.
Bill Lane’s Farewell Address
Our elder Bill Lane and his wife Marci have served our church faithfully for many years. Last Sunday, Bill gave his farewell address to the church, titled The Healthy Church. We are going to miss the Lanes very much! You can listen to the audio from last Sunday by clicking below.
4th-6th Grade Pool Party
All 4th-6th graders (and their parents) are invited to a kickoff pool party Sunday, September 10th after the worship service at the home of the Hippels. Lunch will be provided. Please bring a side (chips, fruit, etc.), dessert, or a drink to share. RSVP to Amy Fleming at kids@tcaab.org
Sign-ups and Soda
Sunday, September 3rd is our Fall Kickoff. We will have sign-ups for Bridge Groups, Wednesday nights, and more. Because so many people are still dealing with the after effects of the storm, we will not have a potluck after the service. We do have Coke (and other soda) for everyone to drink as they see and listen to all the exciting opportunities this Fall.
