Women’s Ministry

“That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Colossians 2:23 (ESV)

The Women’s Ministry supports the church’s mission to “Be Disciples and Make Disciples of Jesus Christ.”  Our vision is to connect women to each other through Bible study, fellowship, and service so that we are spiritually equipped and mutually encouraged for the glory of God. Our passion is to see women connected to the church body and spiritually fed with the Word.

We adopted the “Titus 2” model for our women’s Bible studies, which meet in small groups twice a month. These discussion groups gather at various times and locations from September to May. This year, we are studying the books of 1, 2, and 3 John. At quarterly fellowships, we get together to share a meal and laughs and to serve our church body and local community.

Titus 2 Ministry Overview

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.”

Titus 2:3-5 (ESV)

Purpose:

The purpose of the TCAAB Titus 2 Ministry is to support the discipleship ministry of the church by helping women establish covenant relationships with godly women who will encourage and equip them to live for God’s glory.

Goals:

  • For women to be equipped to apply the principles of biblical womanhood to all of life.
  • For women to be equipped to spiritually mother other women and to show and tell the next generation the biblical principles of womanhood.
  • For some women to become Titus 2 group leaders.
  • For all participants to be strengthened in their love for and service to the church.
