Our church exists to be disciples and make disciples, that in everything Christ might be preeminent. The purpose of our student ministry is to support that mission by helping make disciples of students 7th-12th grade, who would put Christ as first and foremost in their lives. With this in mind, we provide opportunities for students to learn, serve, and fellowship.
Learn
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” -2 Timothy 3:16-17
The Church at Alden Bridge Student Ministry provides biblical teaching year-round. We want students to learn God’s Word. In addition, we want them to grow in knowledge of and affection for Christ himself, the one whom Scripture is all about. (John 5:39-40, Luke 24:27)
Serve
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” -Galatians 6:9-10
Being a disciple is more than just receiving instruction. It is also serving, both in the church, and in our local community.
Fellowship
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” -Hebrews 10:24-25
As we grow in knowledge, and as we serve, we do so alongside fellow believers. The command to “consider how to stir up one another to love and good works” and to “encourage one another” is hard to do without forming close relationships and spending quality time together. With this in mind, our student ministry provides opportunities for students to spend time with one another, doing what Christians do: eating together, singing together, playing together, etc.
